Franken Construction Company, Inc. is a Las Vegas, New Mexico based general construction contracting company.  It was started by Steven G. Franken, who was stationed at Camp Luna, married a native Las Vegan, Shirley Ann Ramsey, got out of the Army-Air Corps. In 1945 and started building houses with his father-in-law, Luther W. Ramsey.

Franken Construction Company is Las Vegas’ largest general construction firm.  The Company has steadily grown from a one-man operation in 1945, to almost 70 employees to date.  The employee pool is primarily from the San Miguel County, Guadalupe County, and Mora County areas.

Our clients over the last few years include West Las Vegas City Schools, East Las Vegas City Schools, New Mexico Highlands University, Luna Community College, County of San Miguel, City of Las Vegas, State of New Mexico, Northeastern Regional Hospital, Alta Vista Regional Hospital, Miner’s Colfax Medical Center, New Mexico Boy’s School, and Armand Hammer United World College of the American West.  In addition to these institutional clients, we have completed, in the last few years, many commercial projects, as well as a number of residences, and we continue to remodel and renovate many local businesses and historical structures.  Franken Construction has a bonding capacity (total job bidding capacity) of over $20,000,000.00 and we are very capable of—and have the track record of—completing large projects on time and within the budget.

Franken Construction Company has always had a great respect for Northern New Mexico.  It is one of the most beautiful and scenic areas in the West.  The center of it—Las Vegas– is filled with wonderful people, traditions and history.  Franken Construction has grown like Las Vegas, not in leaps and bounds, but steadily and stably over the years.  The Las Vegas community has rewarded us, in its acceptance of our products and services, and we give back to our community in many ways.

EXPERIENCE

Franken Construction Company, Inc., performs with its own manpower, all areas of general building construction, except mechanical and electrical.  Franken Construction Company, Inc., has never failed to complete any work awarded to it, and there are no judgments, claims, arbitration proceedings or suits pending or outstanding against our organization or its officers.  Franken Construction Company, Inc., has not filed any lawsuits or requested arbitration with regard to construction contracts within the last five years.  Within the last five years, no officer or principal of Franken Construction Company, Inc., has ever been an officer or principal or another organization when it failed to complete a construction contract.
